2026 cba Conference and Red Mass hosted by stms Dallas

The Catholic Bar Association is holding its 2026 Annual Conference and General Assembly on September 24-26, 2026, in Dallas, Texas. On Saturday, September 26, the Conference will conclude with the Red Mass and dinner banquet hosted by the St. Thomas More Society of the Diocese of Dallas. The 2026 Red Mass will be held on Saturday, September 26, at 5:00 p.m. at the National Shrine Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe, with a dinner reception to follow immediately after at the J.W. Marriott Dallas Arts District. This year's honoree will be United States Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh. Justice Kavanaugh will receive the St. Thomas More Award and will give an address at the dinner.

The Red Mass, which dates back to the 13th Century, offers an opportunity for lawyers, judges, government officials, scholars, and others working in the legal field to pray for wisdom and understanding in their work for the pursuit of legal justice. All members of the legal profession, regardless of religious affiliation, are welcome at the Red Mass.

If you are planning on being a part of the procession at the Red Mass, please arrive at The National Shrine Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe located at 2215 Ross Avenue at 4:40 pm and bring your robe. We will be vesting in the Grand Salon. To access the Grand Salon from the exterior, enter the doors to the right of the Cathedral. The Grand Salon is the first room on the right. If entering from the garage, turn left at the main corridor. The Grand Salon will be on your left.

Parking for the Red Mass and dinner reception will be available at no cost at the Cathedral garage, directly behind The National Shrine Cathedral of our Lady of Guadalupe, with entrances on Pearl Street and the corner of Flora and Crockett Street, from 4 pm to 11 pm.

Valet parking at a discounted rate of $20 will be available at the JW Marriott Dallas Arts District, 800 North Harwood Street, during the Mass and dinner reception. Note, the discounted rate does not apply to overnight valet.
