The Catholic Bar Association is holding its 2026 Annual Conference and General Assembly on September 24-26, 2026, in Dallas, Texas. On Saturday, September 26, the Conference will conclude with the Red Mass and dinner banquet hosted by the St. Thomas More Society of the Diocese of Dallas. The 2026 Red Mass will be held on Saturday, September 26, at 5:00 p.m. at the National Shrine Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe, with a dinner reception to follow immediately after at the J.W. Marriott Dallas Arts District. This year's honoree will be United States Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh. Justice Kavanaugh will receive the St. Thomas More Award and will give an address at the dinner.
The Red Mass, which dates back to the 13th Century, offers an opportunity for lawyers, judges, government officials, scholars, and others working in the legal field to pray for wisdom and understanding in their work for the pursuit of legal justice. All members of the legal profession, regardless of religious affiliation, are welcome at the Red Mass.
