Our annual Red Mass will be held at the Cathedral Shrine of the Virgin of Guadalupe, followed by a dinner reception at the Dallas Petroleum Club Sky Lobby.
The Reverend Dominic Legge will be the homilist, and the Most Reverend Edward J. Burns, Bishop of Dallas, will preside. The reception dinner will include presentation of the St. Thomas More Award to the Honorable Amul Roger Thapar of the United States Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals and presentation of the William Roper Award to Dennis Sullivan.
The Red Mass invokes the guidance of the Holy Spirit in the securing of justice for the coming year. We encourage all members of the judiciary, law faculty, lawyers, and everyone interested in the rule of law to attend the Red Mass.
Following the Red Mass there will be a dinner reception. Tickets for the dinner reception are $60 for STMS members and their guests and $75 for non-members. Please register early, as space is limited and pricing will increase to $80 per person after October 11.
If you prefer to register by mail, please download a registration form and mail it to the address provided on the form.
We suggest wearing red for the Red Mass (e.g., red ties for men or a red dress or scarf for women).
